One of the great things about living
in Indianapolis is the reasonable price you pay for electricity. Indianapolis
Power & Light Company, a subsidiary of IPALCO Enterprises, has some
of the lowest residential rates in the country. Of the 20 largest U.S.cities
with investor-owned utilities in July 1998, Indianapolis' residential electric
bills were the most affordable. In fact, IPL customers paid nearly 30%
less than the average of the 20 cities.
